The site is situated approximately 2.5 miles North West of the City Centre.

 

The site address is: West Sheffield City Learning Centre, Myers Grove School, Wood Lane, Sheffield S6 5HG

Description of Works:

The works comprise the provision of an extension to the rear of the existing City Learning Centre building.  The extension will be 99m² and comprise of a single room providing a flexible teaching space.

 

The external walls will be of cavity construction with brickwork to match the existing building.  The existing roof is constructed from curved aluminium profile decking, this will be continued over the area of the new extension.

 

Ceiling mounted ductwork will be used to provide ventilation and heating to the new building.  Some of the external heating pumps serving the existing building will have to be relocated and there will be some minor alterations to the layout of the existing ductwork.

 

To the existing building, there will be some minor remodelling work to an existing seminar room to create a corridor into the new extension and additional storage space.

 

The external works will consist of minor alteration to existing kerbs and walkway along with the provision of parking bollards and new white line markings
